Road to Hope provides recovery housing in Northeast Ohio for individuals living with substance use disorder, offering structured and supportive environments that encourage personal responsibility, healing, and successful reintegration into family and community life.
Through our recovery program, residents receive peer support, intensive case management, and guidance rooted in recovery principles. These services help residents develop the life skills, discipline, and stability needed to maintain long-term recovery and become self-sufficient.
Road to Hope envisions stronger communities where individuals have access to quality, affordable recovery housing that fosters stability, personal growth, and lasting recovery. Our program provides the accountability, encouragement, and support necessary to build a strong foundation for a healthier future.
Personal responsibility is a core value of our program. Residents are expected to actively participate in their recovery by attending approved recovery support meetings, obtaining a sponsor, maintaining employment, and contributing a nominal weekly program fee.
Our goal is for each resident to leave The Road to Hope healthier, more independent, and committed to a lifelong recovery journey.

The RTH encourages an environment truly conducive to recovery. Espoused by a 12-step program, residents consistently attend recovery meetings and groups facilitated by those with long-term sobriety. Instilling accountability highlights our program. Our community outreach program enables our residents to become an asset within our local communities. After a 30-day restriction period, most of our residents reintegrate back into the workforce as they continue to methodically immerse themselves into the recovery process. RTH staff supports its residents through a monthly Recovery Plan that outlines obtainable measurable objectives.

In the first 30 days, residents begin to work to set a solid foundation in their recovery. In this time span, residents are only permitted to attend recovery meetings, outpatient treatment, as well as any community outreach programs applicable. Laying the framework for a successful recovery takes enhanced guidance and focus; we understand that these are formative days for those new to recovery. It is of paramount importance to eliminate unnecessary distractions and concentrate on finding the solution during this time.

After 30 days, we start to encourage a bit more autonomy, while ensuring that all the program requirements are still being met via Recovery Plans and daily face to face check-ins with staff. At this point, residents start to become eligible to apply for home passes on the weekend. With more freedom comes heightened responsibility. As residents mature within our program, they often become taxpaying citizens, contributing members to their families, and living demonstrations to newer residents as to what a fulfilling life of sobriety can bring!
