Jeffrey Kamms has been serving individuals and families throughout Northeast Ohio suffering from the effects of Substance Use Disorder for 23 years. He is the Executive Director of The Road To Hope Inc, an exemplary, innovative, holistic, certified recovery housing program. The Road To Hope Inc not only provides a safe, substance-free living environment, it creates the peer-to-peer relationships necessary for recovery from the hopeless state of mind and body that defines addiction. Jeff’s vision for a life changing recovery housing program began in 2007 with one rented home housing six men suffering from substance use disorder. Under his leadership, the organization has grown to thirty-one homes serving 264 men, women, and children, including meeting facilities and training centers that also serve the communities in which they operate.
Not only does Jeff provide his experience, strength, and hope through his leadership at The Road to Hope, he works collaboratively with local treatment facilities, government bodies, religious organizations, and a variety of other agencies to enrich the program that The Road to Hope provides to its residents. In 2016, he was nominated by his peers to serve as a board member for Ohio Recovery Housing and in 2018 was elected as vice president of that Board. As a passionate and dedicated innovator within the recovery community, Jeff serves as chair of the state appeals committee, is a member of the treatment team for Lorain County Recovery court and works with a myriad of other state and county committees. In 2016 Jeff received the Community Leadership Award from Leadership Ohio and in 2018, was the recipient of the annual Gallery of Success Award from his high school alma mater. The Road to Hope became certified as a best practices non-profit organization through the National Association of Nonprofit Organizations & Executives in 2020, was recognized and awarded for Exemplary Service by The General Assembly of The State of Ohio House of Representatives in 2017, 2019 and 2021, and the Ohio State Senate in 2019 and 2021. He also received the President's Award for being a community leader in 2021.
Above all else, Jeff enjoys the opportunity to work with the residents and staff at The Road To Hope. He feels it is of critical importance to guide his staff and personally assist individuals through the transition out of their dysfunctional living environments and desolate state of mind and body to happier, healthier, motivated lives. The greatest reward of all is witnessing their integration into their communities and seeing families reunited. With over 24 years’ experience in recovery and 16 plus years as the Executive Director of The Road to Hope, Jeff often finds himself wielding the secret weapon God has armed him with; an unparalleled network of like-minded community members. Jeff has a knack for connecting with his residents and staff and believes that his true value comes from sitting down, one on one, with anyone and having their hearts communicate in unexpected ways. Jeff often says, “Even with all the policies, procedures and formats that encompass housing today, I will always love the personal touch of sitting down with each individual and having our hearts touch in a way that is unexplainable.”. Jeff lives in Lorain County with his incredibly supportive wife, Kristina, and their 3 wonderful children. When not following his calling, Jeff enjoys camping, hunting, farming, and nurturing his relationship with God. Jeff's motivation comes from an instrumental person in his life. Her name was Becky, whose favorite phrase rings loudly in his spirit every day; "Nobody said it would be easy, but it will be worth it."

Tasha Vogel is an alumnus of The Road to Hope. She has been in recovery since 2019. Tasha began as a resident of Margeau House where she rose up to a House Manager before moving to Genesis by the Lake to be reunited with her son’s. Prior to becoming a Program Director, she lent her experience, strength, hope, and faith at another sober living house as a weekend monitor. Where she quickly learned that Road to Hope is where she belonged.
Tasha became Program Director in Oct. 2022 and continues to learn and grow within The Road to Hope. She believes that faith, responsibility, structure, and working the 12-steps is the building blocks to a sustainable recovery. Alongside her sponsor, Tasha started a 12-step faith-based recovery meeting, where she works with women in recovery to use their faith in working through the steps.
She mentors women in the local area using her knowledge from her time at RTH. The biggest motivators in Tasha’s life are her sons and her mom. She is very involved with her church, Trinity Gospel in Vermilion, OH, and can be seen at most events with her proud mom and her boys by her side.

Margeau House. She is grateful to serve the women at the very place
where her recovery journey began in 2017. Misty came to The Road to
Hope open-minded and willing for the change process to start. She started
taking suggestions and clinging to the structure of the RTH Program. This
is where the change process started for Misty and allowed her to transform
into the person in recovery that she is today.
Since starting her recovery journey in 2017, Misty has stayed strongly
rooted in the recovery community, attending her home group meetings, and
faithfully working with her sponsor. Misty has grown in the recovery
community by working in positions such as Resident Coordinator, Outreach
Coordinator, and Certified Peer Supporter within court systems, jails, and
her community. Misty has been involved in starting Trauma Recovery
Meetings and is working on obtaining her Chemical Dependency
Counseling certification. Misty has training in Trauma Informed Care, is
active in Overdose Awareness training and events, and has assisted with
getting various programs to active status in local counties.
When Misty isn’t advocating within the recovery community, she is active
with her family, as she is a very proud mother of one child. Her son is the
apple of her eye, and she loves being present with other family members,
including those she has met during this journey. Misty truly believes that
the key to staying humble is willingness, and it is vital never to forget that
feeling we felt before we fully surrendered to one’s program of recovery.
Misty truly exemplifies that taking suggestions and following a program of
accountability and structure allows for the change process. Misty is truly
thankful to God and the 12 steps for giving her this life she could have
never imagined. WE DO RECOVER!
